What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I think that the best part of tutoring is watching students grow their passion and interest in a given subject, and having those moments where they begin to fully understand something. It's this super exciting feeling where they forget that they're learning that thing because they have to for school and you can see their interest become more genuine.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think that a strength of mine is definitely a willingness to listen to the opinions of students and engage in interesting discussions, which I always find results in a more well-rounded understanding of a given subject. Additionally, as someone who has continued their academic interests into university, I have a genuine passion for these subjects as well as a passion for learning itself, which I think is an essential quality in any great tutor.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to teach them how to study and learn properly, as it then gives them the ability to use that skill outside of tutoring sessions and greatly improve their grades as well as their academic confidence. Another thing I believe to be important is making the learning experience as interesting and enjoyable as possible, because this can help to foster a real passion for knowledge which I think is the most essential academic tool you can have.
