What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
In tutoring, I most enjoy the ability to see a student's success in their development of understanding in topics that had previously put them on guard. It is deeply satisfying to see them become happier with themselves and have more belief in their own capabilities once they have reached that 'aha' point where they can answer questions by themselves.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
A strength I consider myself is being able to consider a student's perspective as well as their strengths and weaknesses in order to better help support their understanding in topics they may have previously struggled with. I have a good understanding of maths and experience with teaching children of various capabilities at once in ways that can ensure all students are academically motivated and not falling behind or being under-stimulated. As well as this, I hope that I can be described as kind and approachable, I do not think any question is silly and any lack of understanding, bad.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing a tutor might do for a student is being open to change as well as being approachable for potential questions. In terms of being open to change, different students may require different methods in order to best suit their needs in being able to fully understand a topic they are struggling with. As well as this, being approachable is important so that students are able to reach out with their concerns so that you as a tutor are actually able to support them as best as possible.
