We have all had the experience of a "bad teacher" and we know it's not pleasant. Often the teacher is simply a bad match for that particular student rather than being a "bad teacher" in general but in either case the student has a serious problem. This is why many parents contact us for a private tutor - their child just can't "get it" when their teacher is teaching. It's incredible how one explanation results in more confusion whereas another results in that...

It's incredible how one explanation results in more confusion whereas another results in that "aha" feeling we all love so much! It is really a matter of getting the "right" tutor and not the "best" one. We see this every day in our work. A tutor might have hundreds of hours of experience and might have received dozens of testimonials from students, however, even such a tutor doesn't click with all students. Every tutor gets bad feedback sometimes. It's all about getting the right fit and this is what we do!
We will organise a 1-on-1 maths tutor in Aubin Grove to come to your home at a time of your choosing. They will be a local Aubin Grove maths tutor so scheduling lessons will be easy. Also, no booking fees, no minimum terms, no cancellation costs, no nonsense! And here's the best thing: your first lesson is a trial. So if you feel that the tutor wasn't a good fit, we'll organise someone else. It's our Good Fit Guarantee.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Talking aloud is progressing well. She reads the questions, the information given and what we are trying to find. Confidence may be an issue because of her giving up before she really tries. She is very neat and organised in her setting out though which helps.
Kai's attitude is awesome as always and he is always pushing to increase his results. Kai is continuing to put in great effort to gain further understanding and better his test results. Kai's work habits are good, he is always up to date with homework and knows and prepares for exams well before they're scheduled.
Adam seems quite competent at the background subject matter for his course. He is also mostly keeping up with his current maths course. Adam still finds the conversion between different units for the same physical quantity a bit confusing. For example, he knows that metres, centimetres, millimeteres, are all units of length, but he forgets their relationship. I will keep working at these concepts with him.
Julian has done a wonderful job tutoring Julia. She has always struggled with maths but has made very good progress thanks to his patient, consistent effort. We look forward to his continuing to tutor Julia up to the HSC exams.
Daniel as a tutor is a very good fit (perfect) for Sid! We are quite happy with the way things are progressing so far & happy to continue.
Just wanted to let you know that my daughter just finished her first tutoring session with Derek and he was fantastic! Thank you so much for connecting us with him, things are looking up already.
