We have all had the experience of a "bad teacher" and we know it's not pleasant. Often the teacher is simply a bad match for that particular student rather than being a "bad teacher" in general but in either case the student has a serious problem. This is why many parents contact us for a private tutor - their child just can't "get it" when their teacher is teaching. It's incredible how one explanation results in more confusion whereas another results in that "aha" feeling we all love so much! It is really a matter of getting the "right" tutor and not the "best" one. We see this every day in our work. A tutor might have hundreds of hours of experience and might have received dozens of testimonials from students, however, even such a tutor doesn't click with all students. Every tutor gets bad feedback sometimes. It's all about getting the right fit and this is what we do!

Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Sabih has improved his math skills since last month. He has become less depended on rule and bettered his understanding of probability. He also become better at time management when completing questions. He has become better at completing homework.
Coopers attitude, effort and work habits for this month have been solid. With him having less school work because of the substitute teacher, I expect him to have completed all the homework I have assigned him and he has done that.
Oliver's problem areas are multiplication and division. He is very slow in multiplication tables like simple multiplications, for example, 7 * 8. He also struggles with other multiplications such as the common ones that times 25 * 4 100. For division, he is not very familiar with how to work with the numbers set out,
We are very happy with the way the tutoring is working out. Harry seems to have improved already and his confidence is on the way up, all good news. Lee has been excellent and Harry is very happy to work with him.
Sophie is very happy with Jane as a tutor. Jane is extremely diligent - we have the complication of the UK syllabi and Jane has taken a lot of trouble in her own time, to check up on what Sophie should be learning !
Hello and thank you for your email. We are happy with Philip's progress in these few weeks as you suggest I am sure more time is needed for him to be more confident . We are also happy with his tutor he is very well spoken, polite and gets on well with my son so far.
