Often the student's confidence increases and their grades increase across all subjects. They learn that directed effort results in improvement and that is a form of empowerment! This is what we're all about, our mission is to facilitate life-changing student-tutor matches. There is just nothing better than having a sense of self confidence and faith in your own competence.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Madison Puts pen to paper which allows me to see what she is thinking and I am then able to help her when necessary to get the right methods. She will ask questions when she needs to clarify something and is building her confidence in some topics
Kate is always eager to learning and always wanted to understand the reason behind each step. She makes notes and has very good correct habits. She does the homework and sometimes brings the question that she has difficulty with in school to me. She has very good work habits.
Catherine should continue to work on long multiplication to ensure she doesn't forget how to do it. Long division will need more work as she sometimes does steps incorrectly or rushes through the question. Fractions can also be focused on. Catherine needs to ensure that all work is done neatly and is organised well, as sometimes it is very difficult to tell where she has done her work or what steps she has taken.
Compliments on the nice touch with the follow up. It comes across as very professional. In fact the whole process from my initial inquiry about getting some help for Jake, through to now has been very professional, informative and direct. Yes, things have been progressing well between Jake and his tutor. They formed a good rapport straight off the bat. Jake has made comment of his own free will how he is enjoying the support. That in itself is something - getting more than a grunt from a 16 yr old!
Tilly has been doing very well at school with her maths - she received an A on her report. She says she is far more confident. Thank you so much for providing us with an excellent tutor in Christy - it would be my pleasure to provide a reference any time. It has made a significant difference to our daughter's confidence.
We are very pleased with the progress of the tutorials with Aprinder. Dean is engaging really well with him and already seems more confident. We hope his apparent progress will be reflected in both a more positive attitude toward maths that is enduring and also in his maths results at school.
