"Give a man a fish, he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, he will eat for a lifetime". This pretty much sums up our maths tutoring philosophy. Year after year students are bombarded with an increasing amount of content. Most students are always in catch up mode, trying to keep up with the class, cramming in some revision time right before exams, feeling anxious and unconfident. Of course it is possible to do well this way, but it is like using a hammer to cut down a tree instead of an axe. There's a...
There's a better way to succeed academically. This is where we come in. Ezy Math tutors break the cycle of inefficient learning by showing students not just WHAT to study but also HOW to study.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Erin is recognising the importance of back checking, pen to paper methods, confidence is something that Erin struggled with, her confidence and willingness to try is improving but while only having three lessons so far it is somewhat difficult to be accurate. Erin questions herself often which also leads to heavy reliance on the calculator for even simple multiplication.
Adam is a well behaved student with a positive attitude towards his work. Adam is generally putting in a good effort. There were some instances of homework not being completed in this month, which hopefully won't continue. Taking notes in class as required.
Though he has improved, Luiz still occasionally falls back on negative self talk. However, with time I believe this problem is easily addressed and countered. Though not a problem area as such, I believe it would benefit Luiz to have a seperate notebook for his maths written notes (formulas and such). It should help his organisation in maths and make it easier to find the relevant notes and formulas when he encounters a difficult problem.
I believe Paige is beginning to ask Jake more questions. I have advised her if she is still unsure of something she should ask for Jake to explain it again or in a different way. I feel she is starting to have more faith and she has advised me she is understanding some concepts a bit more clearly.
I see how much more confident Nicholas is with maths, the teachers at school have noticed a difference, and he is eager to do maths now as where before he wasn't. In regards to Wade, well he is just gorgeous. He has built up a great relationship with Nicholas, and he actually waits for Wade each week.. Wade makes it fun, for Nicholas to do maths. Nicholas told me last week, s" when i get a question wrong, Wade makes me remember how to do it with a trick." I think Wade explains it to him in a way that he understands it. I think Wade is fantastic at what he does and you can tell he loves his maths. cheers.
Thanks for this. The first tutorial seemed to go very well. Jet was certainly very positive about Josh!
