We have all had the experience of a "bad teacher" and we know it's not pleasant. Often the teacher is simply a bad match for that particular student rather than being a "bad teacher" in general but in either case the student has a serious problem. This is why many parents contact us for a private tutor - their child just can't "get it" when their teacher is teaching. It's incredible how one explanation results in more confusion whereas another results in that...

It's incredible how one explanation results in more confusion whereas another results in that "aha" feeling we all love so much! It is really a matter of getting the "right" tutor and not the "best" one. We see this every day in our work. A tutor might have hundreds of hours of experience and might have received dozens of testimonials from students, however, even such a tutor doesn't click with all students. Every tutor gets bad feedback sometimes. It's all about getting the right fit and this is what we do!
We will organise a 1-on-1 maths tutor in Forestville to come to your home at a time of your choosing. They will be a local Forestville maths tutor so scheduling lessons will be easy. Also, no booking fees, no minimum terms, no cancellation costs, no nonsense! And here's the best thing: your first lesson is a trial. So if you feel that the tutor wasn't a good fit, we'll organise someone else. It's our Good Fit Guarantee.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Uses summary pages/index cards when studying, which is good :) We've also seen a lot of improvement with her confidence in doing Math problems :) One strategy tto still improve on though is to start doing backchecking or double checking of her solution and answers to all problems
Her work attitude and enthusiasm could be improved as sometimes she seems to be quite laid back and shows no real effort in doing her work. This past month she had not completed her work twice. Constant practice is required as she forgets her concepts easily. However, once she had grasped them, everything is easily done.
Gabrielle should look back on the notes and examples provided by the textbook and her teacher prior to attempting the questions so she can apply the same mathematical techniques and understand how the answers are obtained.

We are super happy with Kaia. Ella has been chosen in the top maths group for 2019/20! Her maths has improved out of sight! Ella is looking forward to working with Kaia in the new year.
We will definitely take it up again next year as it has been beneficial to the twins and their confidence has also grown. We have recommended Ezy Math Tutoring and Lewis to other parents as well.
Lyna was fantastic, incredibly intelligent and broke things down to measurable and achievable stepping stones to be able to understand formulas correctly.
