Struggling academically while seeing others succeed can feel disheartening. It may seem as though "successful students" have it easy, as if solutions just pop into their head. Seeing the cycle of success cycling round and round for others can seem like natural talent. Geniuses do exist but most successful students are just normal people who have somehow learned how to succeed academically. Good news! Success leaves clues. These students tend to be prepared, to do their homework & regular revision....

Good news! Success leaves clues. These students tend to be prepared, to do their homework & regular revision. They focus on comprehension not on memorization. Most importantly they have growth mindset not a fixed mindset - failures are an opportunity for growth not proof of inadequacy.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Over the school break, the aim of the lessons was to cover old topics that Grace may have forgotten over the last few weeks. It is important to be on point with old topics, as over the years, the same topics will appear in newer topics. As such, I would encourage Grace to continue revising older material steadily over the course of the term, and particularly around the time when end-of-year exams come about.
Emma's attitude towards each session is really great. Her approach is very proactive. Emma continues to put in a lot of effort. She has shown me incorrect answers at times and works hard to understand her mistakes. She is prepared for every lesson and is very organised. She is continuing to write out her working out and each step she takes which is great to see.
No real gaps, as of yet. Linear Equations was an area of concern. Henry's just needs to pay attention to detail. Linear Equations was an area he struggled with and we were able to tackle that through constant revision and practice.

I would like to thank you and your team for all the help with preparing Marissa for her Math exam. Gabriella was a wonderful help, I do nightly recommend her. Thank you for the time spent with her
Tutoring has gotten off to a great start thankyou. Adrian is always on time and his professional & friendly manner has encouraged Erin to have a positive response to being tutored ( she was not keen initially) Erin is enjoying her session with Adrian and I can see her willingness to work with him will increase her confidence in maths in general.
We are very happy with Rachel. Natasha feels very comfortable with Rachel and they get along well. Natasha feels more confident about maths now and almost excited to do her maths test at school tomorrow. Rachel has applied learning techniques that work best for Natasha and she is very patient. Rachel is also a lovely girl and has a warm personality. We are very thankful to have her tutoring Natasha.
