Our goal is to help your child become an independent learner. Ultimately they must succeed on their own, without a maths tutor. Otherwise, what's the point? Each student has their own path to intellectual independence but a tutor can certainly help in every case. Exam technique, revision, problem solving, study habits and many more "learning strategies" come into play. It can be a difficult road for our young people and mentorship from someone who has been there and done that can be the difference between success and failure.
So what do we do exactly?
We'll organise an in-home maths tutor Horningsea Park. They'll come over as often as you need and when you need. They will teach your child content while helping them absorb the learning skills required to succeed on their own. It's super important that your child feels the tutor is a good match for them. This is why we offer a "Good Fit Guarantee" - the first lesson is a trial. There are no cancellation costs or booking fees or any other "hidden costs". We keep it simple!
Talk to one of our consultants, help us understand what you need, when you need it, and we'll do the rest!

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Still needs work on talking aloud, it's getting better and she shouldn't be scared to do it. Kate does well to flip back and ensure that she is using the right formulas if she forgets. When completing tasks she needs to be able to write an answer down instead of giving up and trying rather than getting to the final step and then stop cause she isn't sure. She has improved with her analytical skills and being able to identify the best method and the right steps to get the answer.
She is very dedicated to doing practice questions however perhaps a more structured approach would help instead of spending hours doing textbook questions, do instead say 10 questions in half an hour timed on a mix of topics. this will help her to distinguish between question types and different working out methods, like in exams.
She is smarter and remembers more than she will let herself believe. In lessons I often refuse to tell her the next step and she will either work it out herself or I will give her one small hint and then she has it.
I've thoroughly enjoyed my time with Ezy Math, it's been both a great learning and worthwhile experience for me. Outstanding organisation and a great company to work for!
As an Ezy Math tutor, I was especially confident that I could bring positive results to my students. This was because they gave me a great teaching framework to work within, with which I could incorporate my own methods. My greatest accomplishments working with Ezy Math were without doubt the moments when my students were able to overcome certain learning difficulties to produce excellent results. This was often achievable through a simple reorganisation of their work habits and thinking processes. I would highly recommend Ezy Math tutoring to prospective tutors or clients.
Working for Ezy Math Tutoring was different than I thought it would be. I had tutored privately before and I thought it would be pretty much the same deal, but its really not. Working for Ezy Math was great because, every fortnight I was presented with new ideas or stratergies to help my students and there was always the support and room for feedback in every aspect of the Job. When I applied for the job, I was tossing up the idea of maybe becoming a teacher sometime in my career, and working for Ezy Math has made that decision a lot easier. Tutoring is really one of the most rewarding jobs I can imagine doing, as you can literally see the kids begin to get confident and start to surprise themselves with what they know. I would recommend Ezy Math Tutoring as a very well conducted and professional organisation. I feel that working for Ezy Math was a great experience.
