As our company name suggests, we want to make tutoring "Ezy" for parents, students and tutors! We're super passionate about education and especially about maths. Helping a student reach levels of accomplishment that were previously unknown changes their life and sets them up for long term success. It's a "feel good" experience for the student, for parents...and of course for us! Our testimonials are the inspiration that keep us going through hard times. Tutoring works well when it is consistent, reliable, flexible and easy to manage ... otherwise, for a combination of reasons, we don't get the impact we want.
So here's how the service works: We will organise for a local Kagaru maths tutor to reach out to you and organise the time and day for the lesson. The tutor comes to you. You can have the tutoring as often or as little as you like. There are no booking fees or "extras" of any sort. You simply get an invoice at the end of each month for the tuition time used. Best of all, your first lesson works as a trial, so if for some reason the tutor isn't a good fit for your family, you won't be charged for that lesson!

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Ana's main issues as usual are simply finding the motivation and time to complete her work. This is something that will be particularly difficult given her struggles with mental health - I think the best way we can support her is patience, one-on-one guidance and taking small steps towards getting more work done.
Jack always has a positive attitude in the lesson but does get a bit distracted and off-topic from time to time He is most engaged when there's some kind of competitive or timed game for him to play or compete in. We are doing a weekly Times Table challenge for him to try and beat his previous time Jack has the most motivation to study and do homework if it's in the form of a game. Mathletics is a good resource for this
It seems that Ethan has had difficulties with algebraic fractions (and fractions, in general) in the past. I will continue to revisit questions which involve algebraic fractions regularly so that he can develop mastery in this area. Moving forward, I will concentrate more on problem solving questions. The topic that he is currently studying - geometry - is notorious for having tricky problem solving questions. So far, he has managed but I will cover more strategies in future tutorials.
Thanks for the follow up. We could not be happier with Avi. Alex really likes and respects her. She is already helping to build his confidence and having him see that he actually doing very well. We would like to continue with her for sure.
Thanks for the email - Callum enjoyed his session with Micah last Sunday and is looking forward to the next one, which is a good thing!!
Alice had been getting poor marks in maths, despite doing well in other subjects. Neb and Amy effectively identified issues with the way she approached maths problems ie not stepping through problems sufficiently, and helped her overcome these. Alice's marks and attitude to maths have improved greatly as a result. As she has improved, she has become more confident and willing to do the homework and study to do even better. It has been a positive experience all round and I would not hesitate to recommend Ezy Maths Tutoring.
