We have all had the experience of a "bad teacher" and we know it's not pleasant. Often the teacher is simply a bad match for that particular student rather than being a "bad teacher" in general but in either case the student has a serious problem. This is why many parents contact us for a private tutor - their child just can't "get it" when their teacher is teaching. It's incredible how one explanation results in more confusion whereas another results in that...

It's incredible how one explanation results in more confusion whereas another results in that "aha" feeling we all love so much! It is really a matter of getting the "right" tutor and not the "best" one. We see this every day in our work. A tutor might have hundreds of hours of experience and might have received dozens of testimonials from students, however, even such a tutor doesn't click with all students. Every tutor gets bad feedback sometimes. It's all about getting the right fit and this is what we do!
We will organise a 1-on-1 Longreach maths tutor to come to your home at a time of your choosing. No booking fees, no minimum terms, no cancellation costs, no nonsense! And here's the best thing: your first lesson is a trial. So if you feel that the tutor wasn't a good fit, we'll organise someone else. It's our Good Fit Guarantee.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Doing great with lessons, and with HSC preparations! :) Should be MORE CAREFUL when using calculator though and with writing down given numbers to ensure the final answer's all correct. Always remember to BACK CHECK! Doing ORGANIZED working out/problem solutions could also help in tracking back where her possible errors may be.
I really need him to put more effort by practising at home. Otherwise he is very enthusiastic during the class. He makes a lot of effort. But due to less practise he makes silly errors. Though his grasping ability is very strong. I expect him to work harder before his term test.
He struggled a little bit with the harder past paper questions that we attempted. However they were quite difficult and he showed he was not afraid at having a go. Bailey didnt really ahve any problem areas this last month. His problem solving skills have improved a lot and even though he found the harder questions a little difficult, this was excusable.
The one on one tutoring is definitely assisting Caitlin for Maths. She is seeing a slight improvement and beginning to understand topics in more depth. She is building rapport with Bernadeine; so all is going well at this stage.
Cara is very happy with Ishwarya as her tutor. They have an easy, productive working relationship already after only three weeks, Cara was comfortable with Ishwarya after the first week.
William is excited as he is learning more with Bailey than with his math's teacher. Baileys methods are easy to follow and very helpful. Bailey is always on time and puts in 110%. After every session, you can see the smile on William's face and his new found confidence. We are very impressed and very lucky to have Bailey tutor William.
