Each student has their own path to intellectual independence but a tutor can certainly help in every case. Exam technique, revision, problem solving, study habits and many more "learning strategies" come into play. It can be a difficult road for our young people and mentorship from someone who has been there and done that can be the difference between success and failure.
So what do we do exactly?
We'll organise an in-home maths tutor Macquarie Links. They'll come over as often as you need and when you need. They will teach your child content while helping them absorb the learning skills required to succeed on their own. It's super important that your child feels the tutor is a good match for them. This is why we offer a "Good Fit Guarantee" - the first lesson is a trial. There are no cancellation costs or booking fees or any other "hidden costs". We keep it simple!
Talk to one of our consultants, help us understand what you need, when you need it, and we'll do the rest!

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Siobhan has successfully developed the habit of talking aloud whilst solving her questions. This, along with her note taking has proved to be very useful as she has shown a clear improvement at school and in understanding. Now we are focusing on back checking and avoiding rule dependence.
Tomalin's attitude has been good, she is working hard. Effort during sessions has been good but Tomalin needs to ensure all homework is complete and revision done to refresh previous content. When prompted, Tomalin's recall has been good however; more frequent revision prior to sessions is necessary as Tomalin is still coming in a little forgetful of prior knowledge. Time could be used more effectively to focus on harder questions if Tomalin refreshed the basics prior to sessions.
Lola's recent exam has revealed gaps in her understanding stemming from year 8 maths, most pressingly the use of percentages and expansion of algebraic equations. After the return of her first exam, it is evident that Lola has struggled with exam techniques and knowing how to approach problems
We are very happy with the tutoring work that Adedayo has done with Harrison so far. He has quickly formed a great rapport with Harrison and are they working very well together. Adedayo has been very encouraging and has managed to give Harrison confidence in his abilities even though they have only had a few sessions together. Harrison looks forward to his tutoring and has positive approach to sitting down and working with Adedayo. We look forward to continuing the tutoring arrangements and positive outcomes for Harrison.
We are very happy with Aurelius, he has turned something that was "like another language" (according to Aaron) into something he understands and has found his first test easy. We intend to hold onto Aurelius for as long as he wants to coach Aaron.
I think one of the most valuable things I got out of working with Ezy Math is the skills I developed through being a tutor. I was learning a great deal by teaching others, gaining valuable and relevant skills such as effective communication, leadership, management and organisation. It was also extremely rewarding to witness my students progress and gain confidence over the course of tutoring them.
