We have all had the experience of a "bad teacher" and we know it's not pleasant. Often the teacher is simply a bad match for that particular student rather than being a "bad teacher" in general but in either case the student has a serious problem. This is why many parents contact us for a private tutor - their child just can't "get it" when their teacher is teaching. It's incredible how one explanation results in more confusion whereas another results in that "aha" feeling we all love so much! It is really a matter of getting the "right" tutor and not the "best" one. We see this every day in our work. A tutor might have hundreds of hours of experience and might have received dozens of testimonials from students, however, even such a tutor doesn't click with all students. Every tutor gets bad feedback sometimes. It's all about getting the right fit and this is what we do!
We will organise a 1-on-1 maths tutor in Magpie to come to your home at a time of your choosing. They will be a local Magpie maths tutor so scheduling lessons will be easy. Also, no booking fees, no minimum terms, no cancellation costs, no nonsense! And here's the best thing: your first lesson is a trial. So if you feel that the tutor wasn't a good fit, we'll organise someone else. It's our Good Fit Guarantee.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Nikita understands her own learning style very well, which is an excellent foundation to have, especially during high school. Her note taking is very neat and detailed, though it may help to make a contents page to make referring back to specific areas easier/quicker. She keeps track of what she needs help in and is ready to ask questions when she doesn't understand, which is the most important part of learning.
She's a bright student who is interested and engaged in her work. She is a hardworking and studious student and makes an effort to complete all of her work. Always has neat and tidy handwriting and a neat workbook layout and takes lots of notes.
After showing an example of how to do a particular type of question, James has no issues applying that to other similar questions. The main issue is with retaining information that was covered more than a few weeks ago. I think the summaries will help with this.
We had a discussion with Osman's Tutor and she mentioned he is doing well and is enjoying the time spent with Erica, which is very important if he is going to learn. Thank you for your concern and follow up.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Ezymath and Natasha. During the half year's tuition, my daughter's English has been significantly improved. She also becomes more confident. I am very satisfied with Ezymath's service. I actually recommended ezymath to some friends, but not sure if they will finally find help from you.
I would also like to advise that our tutor Frank has been absolutely fantastic with our daughter Sophie. In only a short time he has helped her enormously and has improved her confidence and understanding of the maths topics. She is feeling a lot less stressed with her homework levels and workload heading into Year 9 next year , just as long as we have Frank!
