We have all had the experience of a "bad teacher" and we know it's not pleasant. Often the teacher is simply a bad match for that particular student rather than being a "bad teacher" in general but in either case the student has a serious problem. This is why many parents contact us for a private tutor - their child just can't "get it" when their teacher is teaching.
It's incredible how one explanation results in more confusion whereas another results in that "aha" feeling we all love so much! It is really a matter of getting the "right" tutor and not the "best" one. We see this every day in our work. A tutor might have hundreds of hours of experience and might have received dozens of testimonials from students, however, even such a tutor doesn't click with all students. Every tutor gets bad feedback sometimes. It's all about getting the right fit and this is what we do!
We will organise a 1-on-1 maths tutor in Mooroopna North West to come to your home at a time of your choosing. They will be a local Mooroopna North West maths tutor so scheduling lessons will be easy. Also, no booking fees, no minimum terms, no cancellation costs, no nonsense! And here's the best thing: your first lesson is a trial. So if you feel that the tutor wasn't a good fit, we'll organise someone else. It's our Good Fit Guarantee.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Learning strategies overall are great! Olivia always voices her thoughts, often double checks her work and often makes an attempt rather than simply giving up, great to see. I would continue to encourage making full use of pen and paper; there's no shame in writing down simple calculations instead of attempting to do them in your head. We can avoid those small mistakes in this way.
Brandon is a very conscientious and engaged student. He willingly engages in his Maths learning; is able to articulate his challenges and problems; and participates actively in tutoring sessions. He puts significant effort into his work both in tutoring sessions and at school. He follows up on issues when necessary to ensure that he keeps on top of the content. Brandon is organised and keeps his work well presented. He follows directions and sets out his solutions as shown.
Michael understands all of the current content we've been through this month, but it's just a matter of practice and getting exposure to a variety of questions. There aren't any problem areas that we haven't discussed - just working out using the right method (calculator if we are allowed to), using space effectively and making our work clear.
Sorry, we cannot service your area with an in-home tutor at the moment. Have you considered online tutoring?
