As our company name suggests, we want to make tutoring "Ezy" for parents, students and tutors! We're super passionate about education and especially about maths. Helping a student reach levels of accomplishment that were previously unknown changes their life and sets them up for long term success. It's a "feel good" experience for the student, for parents...and of course for us! Our testimonials are the inspiration that keep us going through hard times. Tutoring works well when it is consistent, reliable, flexible and easy to manage ... otherwise, for a combination of reasons, we don't get the impact we want.
So here's how the service works: We will organise for a local North Maclean maths tutor to reach out to you and organise the time and day for the lesson. The tutor comes to you. You can have the tutoring as often or as little as you like. There are no booking fees or "extras" of any sort. You simply get an invoice at the end of each month for the tuition time used. Best of all, your first lesson works as a trial, so if for some reason the tutor isn't a good fit for your family, you won't be charged for that lesson!

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Ben's learning strategies such as talking aloud, note taking, good corrections and self questioning are well formed. This has allowed lessons to focus on the more routine aspects of learning, such as rehearsing questions and formatting, contributing to healthy work habits.
Very positive. Zac even performed a split for me on the other day as we were talking about ninja. These two weeks have been easier with the tutorials as he is doing basic addition and multiplication pretty well. Effort to remembering his addition and multiplication table better is cheering. The idea of transferring math problems still needs to be practiced. There are always multiple approaches to one simple question, the habit Zac develops now is important. Hope he can always avoid lazy thinking.
At the moment we are working on trigonometry, and the girls have forgotten a lot of the work covered in class. I do not know whether this is because they did not pay attention in class, or didn't do any problems for homework, but there are some large gaps that would be easily filled by doing the exercise after learning the content in class, as opposed to doing questions several weeks later. See above notes. There are no specific problem areas.
I also wanted to say Matthew has been absolutely fantastic, he has a great manner and is very patient. Anja's maths has definitely improved. i suspect we will need a tutor again in the second half of next year hopefully Matthew is available then. I will certainly recommend your service to others. I also wanted to say thank you for all the fabulous resources you offer.
Jacinta is awesome! Grace has connected well with her, and even after 3 sessions we can see an improvement (in her methods and her confidence). Grace had Year 9 exams this week and felt better prepared. I can honestly say this has been the best investment I could have made for Grace!
I thought you would like to know that Matilda got the highest mark in her class for her end of year Math exam 83%. We were so thrilled and it gave her a huge confidence boost! I would like to thank you and Erin and we look forward to continuing her tutoring next year.
