I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to teach the student how to learn. In the process guiding the student to discover methods of learning and studying that is most suited to them. To me the most important thing a tutor can teach a student is to be confident while applying new knowledge. I am a strong believer that tutors should not only be teachers of knowledge but be mentors to the their students. From my past experience the students I taught, although, picked up new knowledge easily but got scared under pressure. It has…

One of the most important things that a tutor, or any teacher, can do for a student is be there for them. By this, I mean tutors should be encouraging, supportive and understanding of students, as students can often have their downfalls (for instance, if they don't do as well as they hoped for in their exam). At times like this, students must be…

I believe a tutor must be able to motivate and enlighten the student, so the student will want to study for themselves, and not because of an external reason. My strengths include:
Being able to both motivate others and enrich others in extending their knowledge.
Shedding my own experience of the HSC and how it has affected me and so, enlighten…

A tutor should be patient because throughout my 5+ years of experience, I have students with exceptionally good abilities and also students who need time to understand a specific content properly. However, I have also seen that these students who take more time in understanding something are usually the ones in achieving better results. A tutor…

This will allow me to teach mathematics in a more practical manner than it is typically taught and therefore give the students a more enjoyable…

The most important things that a tutor can do for a student, in my opinion, are motivating the students to learn on their own as well as arming them with the tools and study skills.
The motivation to learn is critical, since the tutor can teach the material, but at the end of the day, it is the student who has to master it. Without such…

The best thing a tutor can do for a student is to help them grow an understanding of analysis in their mind on how to approach and answer the relevant question. Students have to learn the material themselves, however a guidance is required to what is relevant material to read and where is the focus on the study. I feel that I can understand when a…
