What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy helping a person turn a weakness into a strength, overcoming a fear and gaining confidence, seeing the benefits of some hard work, and getting to the end of hard problems. Lack of confidence may leave a student feeling unable to progress, but helping a student to overcome this and strive to achieve once more is an exciting challenge for me.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I understand there needs to be a balance between hard work and free time. Eventually we want less hard work, and by learning skills properly, tasks will become easier. A student needs to study to build confidence and be ready for the challenge of tests. This will result in better outcomes and even the motivation to apply learnt skills to the real world. I have experienced the benefits of studying hard myself, and enjoy encouraging others to reach their potential.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Most importantly, I will help a student worry less about talent, and more about studying effectively to fill in any gaps. People find a subject hard or easy depending on what they already know, so my role is to go over problem areas and set appropriate exercises to build up knowledge where it is needed. Practising good study techniques will help a student be independent and take advantage of resources such as class notes, worked examples, textbooks, and help offered by tutors and teachers.
