What do I enjoy most about tutoring?

The most gratifying aspect of tutoring for me is seeing students begin to engage with and truly enjoy a subject that they formerly disliked or did not believe themselves to be capable of completing. I also really enjoy getting to know students personally and learning how to adapt my teaching style to suit their individual characteristics and learning needs.

My Strengths as Tutor

I think my biggest strength as a tutor is that I am very patient, and that I'm always willing to adapt my approach to teaching or explain a concept in a different way if a student is having trouble understanding. I am also good at pinpointing specific areas where students have weaknesses and devising ways for them to prioritise and practise these concepts in order to achieve a strong overall knowledge of their course.

Most important things I can do for a student

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to help them to develop a true passion for learning and the ability to problem solve when faced with unfamiliar situations. Furthermore, I believe that tutors can be instrumental in helping students to gain confidence in their own abilities and help them to continually challenge themselves to achieve better results.
