What do I enjoy most about tutoring?
I love helping people understand content they didn't previously get when they went over it at school. I find it very rewarding when I see one of my students succeed in their class and enjoy watching the faces of the students when they realise how easy some subjects can be if once they understand how to do it.
My Strengths as Tutor
I think I am very good at establishing a connection with my students so that they know I'm not there to judge them for what they can't do but just help them understand whatever it is they are struggling with. I find that with most people, if they feel they are in a safe environment they pay more attention and learn the content at a faster rate.
I also believe I'm good at teaching in a way so that the student understands the contecnt faster. In math, there is often different ways the answer can be reached and it is my job to find which way works best for my student.
Most important things I can do for a student
I think that it is very important for a tutor to help the student understand that it is ok that they are struggeling with a subject and that if they put in the effort they can improve and become just as good, if not better then their peers.
It's also improtant that the tutor adapts their teaching method so that it fits the student as everybody learns in different ways.
Lastly, it's improtant for a tutor to put in the effort to help the student and have the students best interest in mind.
