What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The gift of giving: I mostly enjoy the rewarding feeling of seeing progress and improvement in the students. I love sharing my knowledge and helping others to learn. As a bonus, tutoring others helps me stay wired with many things I might otherwise forget.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Outgoing personality
High level maths/physics experience
Great interpersonal skills
Friendly attitude
With these strengths, I can give the student one of the most crucial learning aids that is not necessarily apparent in the classroom environment: copious positive reinforcement.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Make their leaning beneficial and enjoyable
Help them reach their goals, whilst being patient and working at their ideal pace
How will I achieve this? Being one-on-one with a tutor is fantastic, because I can explain concepts in a way that the student will understand. The teacher explains things with a 'one-size-fits-all' approach - By getting to know my students, I can appeal to the individual's needs and teach with efficiency. I will show them how to work smart - not hard.
As for enjoyment --> Sometimes students may think of their school teacher as the enemy, but that's not me. I'm a young, enthusiastic uni student myself. I think it's so important to not be too dry, especially with a subject like maths. Therefore, I can inject a fun and charismatic approach into students' learning, and bring out the best in them.
