What do I enjoy most about tutoring?
Seeing students reach that 'aha' moment, where a new concept clicks in their mind. The joy and excitement from that experience then furthers that student's passion towards a subject and brings newfound energy to the conversation. I thoroughly enjoy being the source of that 'click'.
My Strengths as Tutor
Since I have explored Mathematics from a variety of different viewpoints, I believe I can present information well. If students struggle with one approach, I can explore many different paths until an idea fits with the pupil's understanding.
Most important things I can do for a student
Tutors must clearly convey information to their students, regardless of the field. If a concept is difficult to understand, a weak explanation of that idea would just make it more difficult for a student. On a more casual note, tutors must be able to do this while not making learning appear a chore. An ideal tutor would present information clearly while intriguing the student and prompting them to want to learn more.
