What do I enjoy most about tutoring?
As stated previously I haven't done any formal tutoring, but from my past experiences with school age children, one of the best feelings is seeing students learn directly through your teachings. I generally enjoy engaging with and helping people, as well as this I have a natural interest in problem solving.
My Strengths as Tutor
I'm a very relaxed, patient and easy going person. I found these skills extremely useful for engaging school age children, not just for tutoring, but in general day to day activities within my job. I'm always happy and positive which makes problem solving a lot less stressful for myself and the student. I have great communication skills and conduct myself in a professional manner.
Most important things I can do for a student
Most importantly a great tutor will make the learning process easy and encourage life long learning. The tutor should be passionate about what they teach and instil this curiosity in their students. The key to success comes from organisation and the ability to break down the concepts so it can be absorbed and understood.
