What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy working with children/younger students as I strongly believe in being able to help them ace the subjects they might not love, and find joy in learning. I also love to share experiences with students about my journey as a student myself, especially having studied in Singapore's rigorous education system for 12 years.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe that my strengths as a tutor include being able to create an informal, fun, positive, and effective learning environment for students. Friends describe me as someone optimistic and cheerful. I have been told that I have the ability to encourage students who resent math/science to love it again and to do well in it! I am flexible and tailor my delivery in teaching according to students' strengths and weaknesses so that they can benefit maximally during tutorials.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe a tutor does not just provide the student with solutions to the questions they might have, but also to inspire them to think in ways that will help them tackle similar questions in future. I feel that a tutor is a good tutor when he/she can encourage and teach students to "fish" instead of "fishing" for them.
