What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy the way that tutee's confidence grows as they begin to have more and more positive moments and experience with learning. Lowering students stress levels and allowing themselves to gain the skills to be more confident is really a pleasure. Additionally, I enjoy the way in which it allows me to deepen my own understanding not only of content knowledge but of the teaching strategies learnt at University.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

As a tutor I am incredibly positive and choose to see students not as having a deficit in knowledge but instead as someone with many experiences and knowledge that they can then build upon with assistance. I believe that this approach makes students more comfortable with me in a tutoring capacity and leads to a more positive learning environment.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe that the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to give them the skills and strategies to become a more independent learner. Whilst I understand the importance of having a tutor, and the support they provide, independent thinkers, workers and learners is the end goal that many parents and students have in mind. Linked to this is the ability of a tutor to increase the students confidence in themselves through growing their skills and knowledge.
