In this wrap up lesson, we reviewed some of the topics learnt throughout the year. Aaliyah remembered many of the topics and the strategies to solve them which is extremely good to see. Overall, Aaliyah has done a really excellent job in catching up with her school maths level in various crucial basic topics and then further learning new and more advanced content. She has done really well in her school homework and improved her marks, as a result of her hard work.

One suggested area for improvement would consistently double checking her answers for errors, which can happen sometimes. In the holidays, It would also be highly beneficial for Aaliyah to review the worksheets and notes worked on throughout the year, in order to remember and prevent forgetting about what she learnt. With continued practice and revision, Aaliyah will become improve even more on some of the new topics she learnt.

Aaliyah is able to work out basic money questions involving coins extremely well, and has no trouble at all. This is really good to see, and she is definitely ready to work on some harder questions involving money. Overall Aaliyah is also much more confident in maths now, and says she enjoys it.

As for percentages, she is getting more familiar with them after working on the worksheet over two weeks. She learnt two methods for converting fraction to percentage and was able to apply these to word problems. She is also beginning to understand the relationship between fractions, decimals and percentages, which she will learn more about in the future. With some more practice on percentages, she will be able to solve the questions on her own.

Aaliyah is doing very well in her school homework and content already. As a result, she has been learning more advanced content in our lessons as we are finding new topics to learn. In the lesson, she took notes on some important information to remember. She learnt about the terms 'sum, difference, product, quotient' (Learning the corresponding operation) which will be helpful in questions which use these terms.

When trying newer topics, Aaliyah will have some difficulty but is always ready to learn about it. In doing a worksheet with assorted topics, Aaliyah has been introduced to some new topics such as prime numbers, square numbers. As these were all new to her, they are areas for further learning and improvement to prepare her for when she learns about them at school.

For her school homework, Aaliyah does very well with money questions (involving notes), using the basic applications of addition/subtraction. It would be helpful for her to try this topic with multiplication and division.

Similar to last week, the worksheet introduced to her the topics of pie charts, averages, and angles in a triangle. Practicing and learning more of each of these topics individually would be helpful in future, as these are completely new to her.
