What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

In the beginning, many students can be apprehensive towards tutoring because they may feel inadequate or discouraged by the difficult subject matter. However, after persevering through many complicated questions and incorrect answers, watching my student's reactions to their own growth and improvement is rewarding beyond measure. The smile on their faces when they start getting correct answers with ease or better test results at school is so satisfying to see. To have even played a small role in boosting their self-confidence and pride in their own abilities is really an honour.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

According to which areas the student would like to learn or believes they need some extra assistance with, I aim to define a clear list of objectives we can work through so that each and every area is addressed in a timely manner. I believe my methodical approach to teaching will truly ensure that each student receives a wholistic understanding of the subject. My greatest strength as a tutor, however, is my patience - I never get tired of questions! I hope my approachable nature allows them to see me not only as a tutor but also a friend whom they can share their concerns with.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe a student has many teachers in their lives - at school, at home and everywhere else. However, a tutor - unlike any other teacher - has been especially chosen by an individual student to help with their very specific needs. Therefore, the tutor must first recognise this as a big responsibility and thus try their best to accommodate the specific learning style and personality of each student. Therefore, the most important thing a tutor can do is to listen to their student and to perform their role with dignity and the utmost attention to detail.
