What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love helping students sink their teeth into Maths and English!
I enjoy seeing young people go from fearful of maths to relishing its challenges and cheering for success. It's sport for your brain. It's the universal language of life. Maths is not about being right all the time. It's reasoning and problem solving using a wide variety of practiced skills.
Your most important life skill is clear communication - the heart of English study. What is the point the writer/filmmaker is trying to make? How? And, most importantly, WHY? I want you to fall in love with words, pictures and sounds because these are the universal tools of storytelling.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Time. One-on-one time. Often learning blocks are overcome just through patience and perseverance. A tutor is there to guide, comfort and keep their students focused on facing challenges and finding out how what they are learning is relevant in their life. My goal is to help students feel confident and independent about working through their learning experience, rather than dependent on a tutor to show them the right answer.
