What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I have always known I wanted to tutor after high school since I am super passionate about teaching people and I find it very rewarding and fulfilling. I took Biology, Chemistry and Ext 2 maths and would love to tutor for any of them (more confident to my tutor in the science subjects). I find that not only do I love those subjects, but I am also very excited when it comes to explaining concepts to my peers when they need help. That satisfaction I get from them understanding what I teach and feeling more confident about it not only gives me fulfilment but also solidifies my own understanding.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have experienced first hand the difference a good teacher can make so i would love to return that. I believe I am very approachable, energetic, and have effective communicate skills, and the ability to empower students to always clear their doubts. I know each student learns in different ways, hence I wish to understand and accommodate all these needs. I aspire to inspire my passion for these subjects and show the students that they are capable of more than they think.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is not to teach them a subject in the way they simply learn the content, but in a way which they can develop passion for the subject and believe they are capable of succeeding. As a tutor, I would love to inspire my passion for maths and science in the student, and help them set goals to reach their target marks or ranks in the subject. I believe a tutor should also acknowledge the various ways in which different students learn, and be dynamic in their teaching methods to help facilitate such preferences.
