What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I like the satisfaction of helping struggling students and seeing them come to terms with understanding the concepts I've taught and seeing them apply it themselves to harder, new questions.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I'm flexible in terms of teaching methods and I'm knowledgeable in all my subjects. I know tricks and tips in order to study more effectively and I know places to obtain different types of questions so I can expose my students to a variety of questions and situations that they themselves may face during their exams. I've personally struggled with learning difficult concepts in my subjects and overcome them and thus I can understand the feelings of students who are experiencing this as well and I can find ways to help them through their struggles.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing for a tutor to do is to inspire their students to do their best and support them during difficult periods of exams and works such as getting bad marks or struggling with a hard assignment. A tutor should support their student and help them become better with each lesson and also not let a bad mark discourage them from trying again and fixing their past mistakes.

Student knows to to accurately and correctly error check her work after exams and knows to look for problems on what she did and focus on fixing them. Student is showing great ability in algebra and easily solving equations. She is also keeping up with neat bookwork and has her work neatly organized and attempts all questions asked and asks questions herself to make explanations clearer and rectify any problems she's having.
Although her maths exam mark was pretty good, she should try to look at her exam in her own time and try to experiment with ways she could save time and try to reduce the amount of stress she's experiencing as it can affect her performance. When we were going through her exam we found areas where she would have figured out the correct answer if she had the time and areas where she had lost marks for missing vital parts of working out or getting the working out confused. This is normal and to be expected but the chances fo this occurring can be reducing by engaging in mindful habits before and during exams and getting comfortable with attempting all types of questions so she can rapidly identify errors in her own working out. She should also try and revise all content taught in both school and tutoring lessons and mark anything she's unsure of for the next lesson so that she can clarify any issues she has.

Student is showing improvement in comfortably solving algebraic equations and following the order of operations when doing maths. Student shows growing confidence in attempting new, unknown questions and is quick to learn new concepts and ask questions when necessary. Student's bookwork is neat, organized and maintained and has been consistently completing homework and attempting schoolwork.
Student should attempt more algebraic questions to further build her confidence, she seems to sometimes forget how to solve a question that she's attempted before, practice is essential for her to build confidence and quickly be able to adapt to new questions. Student should remember to backcheck her working out after doing it to prevent small mistakes from occurring and impacting her final answer.

The student has greatly improved her note-taking skills and bookwork and has improved her organizational skills in her work as well. She talks-aloud while doing questions and is slowly getting a better grasp on algebra and showing more confidence in trying challenging equations.
The student needs to attempt more algebraic questions until she can complete them without looking back to refer to old working out in her book. She's doing well in algebra and slowly building a solid foundation which will be essential for her in senior years. She should try to seek out more questions and try them out in her own time as she seems to get a little confused when questions are arranged in different formats to what she's normally used to.

The student has been improving in her note-taking skills, is slowly grasping onto algebra and is displaying an improved level of confidence and ability in data and non-linear functions. She's calculating correctly, using the right working out and can clearly identify where she's going wrong and how to improve as well as asking for more questions on topics she's struggling with. Applied feedback from the monthly report and is constantly trying to improve.
The student should try to remember all her equations for maths as they won't be given to her in exams and relying on her notes is good but she should slowly start to retain these equations and concepts in order to become comfortable in applying them to different situations. She should also try to expose herself to more "weird" questions to become comfortable with dissecting and understanding difficult questions in the future.
