What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the fulfilling and rewarding feeling of helping someone, especially the youth, to become the best version of themselves; physically, mentally and academically - all whilst having fun and achieving goals! I also really enjoy meeting new people, sharing knowledge and tips and tricks. I personally am a very passionate learner, so it is awesome to be in a position to give back to those that may need extra support! To know I've impacted someone else's life in a positive way is really important to me!
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths as a tutor is definitely my passion for education, an ability to help the students connect the dots and, using story telling to assist in explanation. I have high levels of emotional IQ and self-awareness which allows me to be compassionate, understanding and patient with the students. Additionally, I can resonate with younger children and adults!
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important things a tutor can do for a student, definitely includes: creating a positive and empowering relationship, where the student feels confident and safe to ask for help, ask questions or request support on a particular topic or idea. I believe a multi-sensory approach is important and understanding the students learning style, to be able to accommodate the lesson and resources to suit this. As well as achieve academic goals, I also feel its important to create a fun, interactive and empowering lesson, to help the student gain transferrable skills and confidence.
