What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

My biggest joy about tutoring is shattering the negative stigma around learning. So many students I find have preconceived notions about how learning should be that they're not good enough, when truthful the large majority of the time that isn't that case. Having had worked with some students for longer periods of time, seeing that self doubt break down, and confidence grow over time has got to be one of the most rewarding feelings.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think my greatest strength is my ability to make content digestible for students. All throughout schooling I've enjoyed helping out when my friends looked stuck; and over the course of my education journey I've had the chance to develop my ability of recognising what part of a concept someone doesn't understand, breaking that part down, and turning into a easy to comprehend idea.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think one of the most important things that is beneficial to a students learning is creating a environment that the student feels safe in. In this type of environment, the student is more likely to ask about think they're not quite sure about; or give answers they might not think are correct. They are more wiling to take risks and to fail, overall leading to a better learning environment. So the most important thing for the tutor to do is facilitate that environment in order to have the best chance at helping the student.
