What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The best part about tutoring is seeing something click for a student that has been struggling. Seeing students reason through some complicated problem with the mental models I've helped them build is extremely rewarding to me.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Because of my higher study in physics and engineering, I am able to explain where topics fit into a larger context. I've found this helps students click to the "why" of a topic instead of just simply the specific short-term details.
I am also extremely experienced with generating learning resources on the fly: I often make written resources, graphs and diagrams digitally during my sessions, and formalize these into study guides that students refer back to. This visual element is a huge help to some students who respond to that style of learning.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most valuable thing you can provide a student is a high level intuitive understanding of a topic. Once someone has this, the details become easier to understand, as they fit in as a part of a bigger picture instead of details to me wrote memorized.
