What do I enjoy most about tutoring?
The idea of sharing my level of enthusiasm towards mathematics with others by way of teaching them excites me the most. Being an ardent lover of math as a subject I have genuinely believed that there cannot be an easier subject if one pursues it with utmost diligence. What I have realised over time with teaching is that there are many ways in which I end up learning various new things about a topic that I believed to have mastered. It isn't just work for me. It is something I deeply enjoy as a hobby.
My Strengths as Tutor
I believe that I have developed the ability to mould my teaching into ways such that it matches the understanding capacity of the student. I am a flexible teacher and I can find various techniques to help the student understand if he/she feels stuck in the orthodox ways. More over I ensure the student gets enough practise to deepen his understanding of the subject. There are certain things that I am very particular about and I try my best to not show leniency when there's no requirement of it.
Most important things I can do for a student
A tutor's job is to ensure that the student has understood all the chapters effectively and not simply memorised the formulae's. Many a times students miss out on understanding topics in class due to certain reasons like fast paced teaching or development on techniques that wasn't well explained in class and so on. This is when the role of a tutor becomes very vital. But in a more general sense, I believe every tutor should try his/her best to work on deepening the knowledge level of a student.
