What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Tutoring is quite a rewarding experience for me, because of the meaningful connections I build with my students. Alongside this, I enjoy helping guide them through their education, and aiding in overcoming their challenges to see them succeed at school.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Personally, as a tutor I believe my strengths lie in having patience with my students who are struggling with specific topics. I am comfortable with going through questions thoroughly and making sure they fully understand concepts by providing examples and similar problems. Furthermore, I am an effective communicator, as I am able to fully listen to the issues the student is facing, and then provide a tailored solution, as opposed to providing general feedback to all students, and not addressing the variety of problems students face.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A tutor must help a student grow into an independent, self-learning individual. They should do this by not directly providing answers to the questions, but instead helping them find it themselves. Additionally, instead of being harsh or very critical of students when they are incorrect, which could in turn lower their self-esteem, tutors should encourage them on their attempt and boost their self-confidence by praising them when they get questions correct.
