What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I find it very rewarding to watch a student reach the solution through my help and the accomplishment they feel at understanding the solution. In Mathematics these hints may be asking them what the next step is and continuing to prompt them and help where necessary, and for English I may give them synonyms for the exact word they are looking for or highlight where they should look in a passage for an answer to a question about a text.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I find I am quick to understand where a student is stuck and in coming up with a way to help them on the spot. I am patient and a good listener and communicator, so helping students comes naturally to me and most of the time students come to me for help without me having to ask them.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I do think it's very important a student never feels judged or stressed from the pressure of learning, as that can taint their experience for a long time before they are comfortable again to engage actively. It's crucial tutors are understanding of how a student is feeling and supports them as much as possible in moments of confusion and frustration, which are natural when the content is hard.Subjects Tutored 🎓

Comfortable with simplifying results of fraction addition and subtractions when the numerator and denominator have common factors. Can identify when the first fraction needs to be converted to allow for subtraction and how to change the fraction appropriately. Understands cross multiplication and comfortable with process of multiplying fractions. Good at noticing when the wrong homophone of a word is used (eg. one vs won).
Is not yet exposed to cases where the numerator of added fractions is higher than the denominator and needs simplifying. Sometimes a bit slow to compute the addition and subtraction of two digit numbers off the top of his head. Struggles when there are small spelling mistakes (eg. a letter missing or needed to be added, and when a vowel is wrong).

At first confused by the concept of substitution in algebra. Makes spelling mistakes in short answer responses and needs guidance in formulating full answer responses from an idea of the possible answer. Was confused by a multiple choice option which was the incorrect choice because of "only" pointing to exclusivity.

Still needs guidance and pointers sometimes for knowing how to go from fraction to decimal or percentage, and switching between percentage and decimal as well.
