What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

When tutoring, I enjoy seeing when the concept or question finally clicks for the student and they understand something they previously could not. For me, this feeling has always been integral to learning in order to motivate me through hardship but also to remind me of the joys, and I am always happy to share this with students when tutoring.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths are my patience, empathy and organisation, all of which I think are essential in ensuring a good and successful experience for students. As an older sister, I have been able to hone my patience over the years and I have also experienced not just my own schooling but also the struggles my brother has faced in understanding school work which has also helped me developed empathy in regards to learning. My skills of organisation have supported me in all my years of schooling, so I believe I can also harness them to ensure a reliable experience for students.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Personally, I believe the most important things a tutor can do is being fully aware of the student's experience so that the tutor can adapt their own teaching styles and interactions in order to best support the student. This not only contributes to the process of learning content, but also to the wellbeing of the student under tutelage as sometimes the schooling years can be the most isolating.
