What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

watching children grow more confident in interacting with the subject that they were initially struggling with is so rewarding and special. I think I also enjoy it when kids who don't typically ask questions feel more comfortable with asking questions because it shows that they're more comfortable with me as a tutor and the subject.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I've always been a very empathetic person and so i'm able to quickly understand when children are struggling with certain concepts & do not want to acknowledge that they're struggling. Therefore I'm able to patiently work through the abstract concepts that they are struggling with in different angles by the use of examples that would draw their interest. In addition to being a both patient & understanding, I am also very committed so I put my all to see that they my students are improving. I love learning and whenever i'm teaching I try to inspire the love for learning in my students too.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the most important thing a tutor can do is to improve a student's confidence with the subject they are tutoring. Once a student has the confidence that they can in fact figure it out they will be far more willing to put in the hard work to improve in the subject. A tutor must encourage their students to ask as many questions as they'd like and a tutor must never make a student feel ashamed for asking a question. In addition to this I think a tutor should aspire to cultivate a love for learning the subject in their student so that their students are intrinsically motivated to learn.
