What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the challenge of finding a way to engage someone. It's not enough to simply tell someone how something works, you have to find the way to explain it in a manner that maintains their attention and makes sure they understand what you're talking about.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My experience in gaining a masters degree in chemical physics at the University of Edinburgh has given me an insight as to what quality education should be, and I believe I can apply that knowledge going forwards. I believe I have a patient and caring nature, which allows me to take time with students over the subjects which they find more difficult to comprehend.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Engage with them in such a way that the student actually wants to be at tutoring sessions. There is no benefit to tutoring sessions where the student has no respect or inclination to listen to a tutor. 1-on-1 or small group tutoring gives the student the attention that they may be lacking from a classroom environment, so this is the perfect opportunity to get them interested in a topic they may be struggling with.
