What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the way it allows you to help people while only guiding them, leading to the student feeling accomplished in themselves and seeing their confidence rise as they become more fluent in their work is my favourite part about tutoring.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have really good skills with kids, especially younger as I have two brothers currently in late primary school and just starting high school. Growing up with them has taught me to communicate well with younger kids. As well as tutoring a lot of friends younger siblings in early to middle high school, I have learnt to communicate clearly and precisely with a range of ages and personalities which has provided me with the skill to adapt to each students preferred learning styles.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Guide, but not tell. I have always found it really important when helping students to lead them in the right direction with their train of thought in a matter but to always let them work things out and come to conclusions on their own. If needed I will redo demonstrations but for both the students understanding and confidence on a topic I find it really important to let them draw their own conclusions.
