What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy helping other people and watching them succeed and achieve their goals, especially those younger than me.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I feel like my strengths are that I already have decently high knowledge on Maths, Chemistry, and Physics, I am patient with others, especially younger children, and I can communicate effectively on how to solve a problem through different ways and breaking down how to answer questions.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I feel that the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to be patient and motivate them to do well, making learning easier and more fun for them.

About Matthew
First year uni student
I am a first year uni student at UWA studying a Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Philosophy double degree, majoring in mechanical engineering and statistics.
Experience Working with Children
Matthew brings hands-on experience from working as both a child care worker and tennis coach, where he supervised and mentored primary-aged children. These roles allowed him to develop practical communication strategies, patience, and an understanding of how young learners engage best—qualities he now brings into every tutoring session.
Engaging Approach Rooted in Real-World Skills
Having volunteered over 20 hours collecting feedback for a youth initiative, Matthew is skilled at listening to young people’s needs. He combines this with creative interests such as 3D modelling to make lessons more interactive and relatable. Parents can trust that Matthew will tailor each session to inspire curiosity while building confidence in maths and English.
