What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy watching students gain confidence in their abilities and seeing them make progress. By creating a supportive learning environment, it is always incredibly rewarding to watch students become more independent learners.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am good at adapting my teaching style for students from diverse backgrounds, as I did while tutoring for the Adult Migrant English Program. I am confident that I have excellent communication skills which I have developed through experience in other roles such as customer service, leadership positions and healthcare. I have learnt to strengthen my ability to convey information clearly and provide constructive feedback.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Most students struggle to gain confidence in solving problems which in turn leads them to be unmotivated to study. Therefore, I believe that tutoring is not just teaching concepts but also building an environment where students feel comfortable to make mistakes and learn from it. From experience, I believe that the most effective way is to encourage students to verbalise their thought process and breaking problems down step by step with them.
