What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most is seeing a student go from stuck and frustrated to confident and capable. That moment when something clicks is incredibly rewarding. With over a year of tutoring experience, I’ve learned how to adjust my teaching to suit each student—not just repeating classroom methods, but breaking things down in a way that makes sense to them. Everyone learns differently, and I love being able to find that unique approach. Helping students realise they can understand something they thought was too hard—that’s what makes tutoring genuinely meaningful for me.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my biggest strengths is my ability to adapt to each student’s learning style. With over a year of tutoring experience and as a current Engineering student at UWA, I understand how to explain complex ideas clearly and in multiple ways. I don’t stick to traditional methods—I use examples, diagrams, real-world applications, and step-by-step guidance based on what works best for the individual student. I’m also patient, relatable, and focused on building understanding, not just quick answers. My sessions are always about helping students grow both in skill and confidence.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do is tailor their approach to how the student learns—not just follow the textbook. Every student has different strengths, gaps, and ways of thinking. I believe it’s my job to simplify the content, fill in those gaps, and give them the tools to work things out independently. It’s not just about marks—it’s about building confidence, study skills, and a mindset that says, “I can figure this out.†When a student starts believing in their ability to learn, that’s when the real progress begins.
