What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy the process of watching students grow and learn gradually in their skills and abilities, as well as learning what methods and approaches to tutoring best suit each student. I am used to teaching with big classes of children, however I found the most enjoyable parts were when I got to talk with students one-on-one and tailor my coaching to their strengths and weaknesses.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths as a tutor are my organisational and planning skills, as I have a lot of experience in lesson plans, however I am also able to easily adapt to new circumstances and specific struggles a student may have. I am committed to growing personally and helping students grow, actively seeking to improve my tutoring methods. I have a lot of patience and empathy for when students are finding the subject area particularly hard, and understand that fully grasping some subjects can be challenging at a young age.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

One of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is provide an open environment and supportive space to ask for help in areas they are struggling with. Particularly as students get older, the growing stress mounting with the increasing importance of succeeding can make understanding more difficult concepts harder, and the last thing I would want to do as a tutor is create a space where the student feels they cannot express what they are struggling with or ask for help when they need it.
