The most important thing, I feel, is to listen to students’ feedback on any issues they have with topics they are struggling with. Every person learns in a different way - I didn’t enjoy maths or physics until I had a certain teacher in school who tutored me in a way tailored to me and was shown that these subjects could be beautiful when you understood them properly, and if it wasn’t for him I may have gone down a completely different academic path.
