I think the most important thing a tutor can do is being able to assess the student's ability to solve questions independently after being taught the concept to ensure that my job has been fulfilled. Otherw, it is integral for a tutor to repeat and alter the way they teach in a way the student can understand, possibly using visual diagrams, physical objects, or examples. It is also important that a tutor can purposefully ask questions to draw out answers, or even further questions from students.
