What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love witnessing children make progress little by little as they consistently put in the hard work until in due time, they achieve great success. This is extremely rewarding and satisfying for me.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths as a tutor:
1. Patient and encouraging with children as they learn.
2. Kind but strict at the right time/in the right way.
3. Adaptive - I consider to each child's strengths and weaknesses and aim to tailor my approach to meet their individual needs.
4. Organised - I love structure and always plan my lessons with the aim of making every minute effective on-task learning.
5. Attentive to the learning areas the child is struggling with - I take extra care to ensure no struggles in their learning escape my attention
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
2 Visions I embrace with every student I teach:
1. For the student to adopt good work habits. For example:
- maintaining complete and well-ordered notes for every class
- diligent homework completion
- asking their classroom teacher for clarification as soon as they do not understand a new concept and,
- ensuring any missed classes are dealt with in a timely manner so they do not result in gaps in knowledge.
2. For the student to adopt a positive and healthy mind-set
- “It’s OK to fail but it’s not OK to not try”
- “Mistakes are an opportunity to learn”
- Change “I can’t” to “I can’t do this YET”

About Faith
Practical Classroom and Small Group Teaching Experience
Faith brings hands-on teaching expertise, having led a small group of year 4 students in a children’s ministry setting. She was solely responsible for guiding eight primary-aged learners, marking their homework, and developing lessons that kept them engaged. In addition to this, Faith completed a two-week placement as a student teacher in a primary classroom where she taught maths, English, science, drama, and HSIE. This experience has given her valuable insight into tailoring explanations for different learning styles.
Supportive Role with High School Learners
Beyond her work with younger children, Faith has assisted in programs designed for high school students from years 7 to 9. Her involvement at youth camps included supporting main teachers and engaging older students in both structured activities and informal discussions. These experiences have equipped her with the ability to connect with students across age groups and foster positive learning environments.
Strong Communication Skills and Multicultural Perspective
Faith’s background includes strong organisational abilities and communication skills developed through leading groups of children as well as working in team settings. She also brings an international perspective by speaking intermediate Spanish and beginner Korean—skills that allow her to relate to diverse families. Parents will appreciate Faith’s approachable manner and proven commitment to helping each child feel heard and supported throughout their learning journey.
