What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I think tutoring is an amazing opportunity to pass on your knowledge to other students and individuals. I love being able to share my passion for maths and other subjects with other students, to further enhance their knowledge. I love tutoring students as it allows me to allow other students to learn to enjoy subjects at school. I also love being able to connect with students and go have similar academic goals to those I had in the past, I received an academic scholarship in Geelong Grammar from year 10 to 12. I love being able to connect with other individuals who have similar goals.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think I am good at tutoring for numerous reasons. Through my previous informal mentoring and tutoring experience I have learnt to explain content and concepts to students in a manner that is easy for students to comprehend. I also believe I have patience which ensures that students are able to understand different academic concepts at a pace that they feel comfortable at. In addition as a recent high school graduate, I am very familiar with the VCE curriculum, and able to alter tutoring in accordance with the study design.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important responsibility as a tutor is ensuring you are setting up your students for success. It is necessary to tutor students in a way where they are able to understand content and concepts, to be able to apply these concepts independently in school. Another really important aspect of tutoring is guiding students in manners that also rely outside of tutoring. This may include guiding students with selective school exams, choosing a career, applying for undergraduate medical schools or sitting to UCAT. I think tutoring is important in providing students with well-rounded assistance.
