John was engaged throughout the session and demonstrated improvement in identifying which graph type best suited particular sets of data. He showed confidence in interpreting simple datasets and was able to explain why certain graphs are more effective for presenting specific information.

John required additional guidance when distinguishing between column graphs and bar graphs and needed support in ensuring his scales and labels were accurate and consistent. We will continue to refine these skills in future lessons.

John showed confidence in calculating the mean and median for small datasets and was able to identify the mode independently. He also engaged well with the introductory probability examples and demonstrated an understanding of terms such as “likely”, “unlikely” and “equally likely”.

John needed further support when calculating the range and occasionally confused the order of steps when working with larger sets of numbers. He also required reinforcement in applying probability values consistently using fractions.

John was able to list sample spaces accurately for a range of single-step scenarios, such as rolling a die or selecting a colour from a set of counters. He showed improvement in using fractions to represent probabilities and engaged positively with the examples.

John required additional support when determining the probability of combined events and occasionally miscounted the number of possible outcomes. We will continue to work on interpreting sample spaces more confidently.

John participated actively and demonstrated improved recall of previously learned concepts, particularly in distinguishing between graph types and explaining measures of central tendency. He approached revision tasks with focus and persistence.

John continued to need support with more complex probability questions and occasionally required reminders about the steps involved in calculating mean and range. Further practice will help reinforce these skills over time.
