What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing students grow—not just academically, but in their confidence and mindset. There’s something incredibly rewarding about witnessing the moment a concept “clicks” for a student and knowing I played a part in that breakthrough. I love being able to connect with each student individually and build a rapport that allows them to feel safe and supported. Tutoring gives me the opportunity to make learning feel more personal and meaningful, which is often hard to achieve in a busy classroom setting.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my greatest strengths as a tutor is my ability to be patient and adaptable. I take the time to understand how each student learns best and adjust my teaching style accordingly. I focus on simplifying complex ideas and breaking them down into manageable steps so students can build understanding at their own pace. I’m also a strong communicator, which helps me explain topics clearly while actively listening to students’ questions or concerns. By creating a calm and encouraging environment, I help students feel comfortable, supported, and motivated to engage with their learning.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important things I can do for a student are to support their individual learning journey and to empower them to believe in their own abilities. This means more than just helping them understand content—it involves creating a space where they feel heard, valued, and encouraged to ask questions without fear of judgment. I strive to equip students with study strategies, critical thinking skills, and the confidence to tackle challenges independently. By being consistent, empathetic, and goal-focused, I can help students not only improve academically but also develop a positive attitude toward learning.

About Yash
Studying Bachelor of Psychology (Honours)
I am currently studying a Bachelor of Psychology, where I am learning about human behaviour, development, and mental processes. This has helped me better understand how people learn, think, and respond to challenges—insight that I apply directly to my tutoring. My background in psychology allows me to be patient, empathetic, and thoughtful in how I support each student’s individual needs and learning style.
ATAR/WACE certificate
I achieved an ATAR of 94.93, which reflects my dedication, time management, and academic strength across a range of subjects. This accomplishment not only demonstrates my ability to perform under pressure but also equips me with firsthand knowledge of the curriculum, study techniques, and exam preparation strategies that I now share with my students to help them succeed.
Interest in Football
Outside of my studies, I have a strong passion for football. I enjoy both playing and watching the game, and it has taught me the value of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. These qualities also carry over into my approach to tutoring, where I encourage students to stay motivated, work through setbacks, and celebrate progress just like a team would in sport.
