I recently moved to Randwick to study Fitness at TAFE, as I have always been passionate about health and helping others reach their goals. I love all types of exercise - hiking, dancing, yoga, running, the gym! And I look forward to becoming a qualified personal trainer so I can share that joy with my clients. For the last 2 years I have worked at a 'Self-directed Forest School' for kids aged 7-14, which was the coolest job ever, and it opened my eyes to the different ways that children learn, interact and develop. Currently I am working under NDIS as a disability support worker for 2 kids with speech difficulties and autism. It is rewarding to see how excited the kids are when I arrive, and to watch them improve significantly overtime. I hope that tutoring will be a similar experience and I believe that I have the necessary skills - such as patience and communication - to suit the position.
Next year I plan to study Medical and Health Sciences at Uni and then eventually move into a career as a clinical researcher as I am passionate about studying women's health, gastrointestinal health and other under-researched areas in medical science. I'm an avid traveller so I am considering studying a Masters in Germany to explore more of Europe in my free time (I have already lived abroad in Italy for 4 months when I worked as an Au Pair!).
In my spare time I love cooking, photography/videography, dance classes, spending time in nature (hiking, the beach, camping) and visiting my family. I'm also currently completing a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course online, to enhance my teaching abilities and potentially lead to job opportunities online or overseas.
